Again I ask the question, is it really a spoiler? Another predictable moment from Lucretia Decoy's fiction factory...

I warred with this one, for two reasons: one, I think Sesshomaru looks too "expressive", even if he is meant to be sad, and two, I forgot to draw that ruff around Kirara's neck...

I think however that the overly sad expression is perhaps ruled out by the fact that he's holding her by the scruff of the neck (like the gentleman that he is *ahem*).

Like all good fairytales, there has to be a "tragic" ending. This is a scene from Chapter 34 (Kirara's Destiny) which is the last chapter of the story, although I am planning an epilogue to follow it just to tie up the loose ends, hence the reason why I say the fic will have 35 chapters.

I stole the background from a screenshot I took myself, I hope that's allowed here. I had to play around with it a little, but this is actually a shot of the temple where Momiji and Botan live/train. And of course, this is just the visualisation of the final part of Midoriko's prophecy (according to my fic), Kirara is returned to small-cat form, and despite trying to stop her, Sesshomaru was too late, hence the title!
